Our History and Philosphy
Gulf Biomechanical Labs has been providing professional service since 1983.
Anthony Myers started his business in Houston, Texas, and has expanded over the years to San Antonio, McAllen, and Laredo.
Gulf maintains its high standards of excellence by utilizing CAD-CAM equipment to aid the design and fabrication of its custom made line of prosthetics. In addition, our staff is compromised of nationally recognized credentialing bodies as well as being licensed by the State of Texas.

Anthony Myers

Founder, Anthony E. Myers, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982. In 1995, he graduated from Northwestern Medical School Prosthetics Program and along the way became one of the first certified pedorthist in the country. Later he became an American Board Certified Prosthetist.
He was also named in the Who's Who National Directory. Anthony most enjoys seeing patients resume their activities of daily living in comfort with the aid of a prosthetics or orthotics device that GULF has designed and fabricated.
Sal Khan
Practicioner, Rio Grande Valley Area
Sal Khan is our practitioner in charge of the Rio Grande Valley Area. He is an American Board Certified Prosthetist & Orthotist practicing since 2001. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Bombay, India, and Prosthetics & Orthotics education from All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Bombay, India. He also completed his post-graduate program in Prosthetics & Orthotics from Northwestern University Medical School in 1987. He brings deep expertise and experience to our team. He has successfully fitted thousands of patients with prostheses and microprocessor knees. He enjoys working with his patients and helping them return to their activities of daily living.
Fred Antczak
Prosthetist and Orthotist, Houston
Fred Antczak is the Prosthetist and Orthotis in Houston, Texas. He has a Bachelor's Degree in business from Ottawa University, and he is a graduate from Northwestern University in Chicago for Orthotics. He also attended Century College in Minnesota for Prosthetics. With over 40 years of experience and State of Texas Licensing, he has been with Gulf Prosthetics for ten years.
John G. Hernandez
Manager, Houston
John G. Hernandez is the Manager of the Houston Market area. He has over 20 years of experience with our company. He has held several positions such as Area Manager, Manager of Manufacturing, Practitioner, and Marketing. His credentials are ABC Certified Pedorthist, ABC Certified Fitter of Orthotics, and ABC Orthotic and Prosthetic Assistant.
Nancy Rosales
Manager, Rio Grade Valley Area
Nancy Rosales is the Manager for the Rio Grande Valley Area. She has over 20 years of experience with Gulf Prosthetics and became an American Board Certified Pedorthist and Certified Orthotic Fitter in 2004. She enjoys working with her team, the patients and their families as well as physician's offices, physical therapists, social workers, and all those involved in helping the patient obtain their ultimate goal of walking and returning to their previous activities.
Claudia Lopez
Claudia Lopez has worked with Gulf Prosthetics for more than 25 years. She travels the entire Rio Grande visiting rehabilitation centers and doctors to provide our services. She enjoys working with our patients and feels tremendous joy when they smile.
